A dog was found tied up and neglected in a garage by good samaritans in St. Louis Minnesota, according to Stray Rescue St. LouisYoutube video description. The poor pup was a brown and white pit bull that was pitifully underweight for its length. The Pitbull's face was also covered in puncture wounds and his eyes had become clouded with an infection.

Two workers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis drove out to meet the neighborhood good samaritans and give the dog a better life. When they arrived, they cautiously approached the frightened pup so as to not scare him further.

A Neighborhood Problem

After they determined the dog was not dangerous nor afraid, they brought him to their car.

When one of the rescuers held the dog, he pushed himself as far as possible into her arms. It was clear that the pup was frightened and abused, and he is grateful to be away from the terrible place he came from. He knew had found a home in their kindness.

The Stray was Saved

After joining the shelter, the dog was named Chowder. After all, every dog that receives a name receives an identity that they deserve. It is possible Chowder's last owners used him for illegal dogfighting due to the nature of his wounds. They possibly also did not bother to name him. It is unfortunate that even today dogs face such cruelty.

Safely Sheltered at Last

Chowder the Pitbull was given medical care and lots of love by Stray Rescue St. Louis, which has helped him to become healthier and more open. After he is neutered, he'll be placed for adoption. We wish him the very best and thank the rescue workers that gave him a better life.
