Biological bonds between family definitely strengthen the relationship, but it is important to remember that family is not always defined by blood. For instance, you may have an adopted member of your family who was previously born to someone completely different from your family. However, your family will love and cherish this person like they are their own. The same goes for animals and pets that we adopt.

Elsarose, a 6-week-old baby was definitely lucky to be born into a family with two furry friends. Adorable Elsarose was happily accepted by Pebbles, the family's Ragdoll kitten, and Nelda, an 8-month-old Labrador.

When we own pets, we often form very close bonds with them and after a while, consider them as family. In the end, family is defined as whoever has stood by your side throughout your life. For this reason, we have no doubts when calling our pets family because no matter what, they will always be there for us.

After only a couple of weeks, Elsarose and the two pets got along well and her companions seemed to really care for her. The family is bound together by a bond that cannot be broken. The combination of these two animals was the best decision the family could have ever made.

Labradors in general are good-natured, kind, and caring. They are extremely friendly and playful. Some might even call them reserved as they are not very active, and make excellent indoor dogs. Labradors are even known as one of the most "cuddly" dogs, meaning that they love to snuggle up beside you. They are especially great with children.

Ragdoll kittens are sometimes called "puppy cats" because they have a nature similar to dogs. They enjoy playing fetch, following people around, and are very docile. They get along well with children and other dogs and exemplify the same amount of caring and kindness as Labradors. Ragdolls shed very little and are easy to train, making them excellent indoor companions. These kittens love the company of both other pets and humans. They are especially interested in children.

According to Give It Love, in a video taken by the family, you can see the trio already forming bonds that will transcend a lifetime. They were laying on the couch; Nelda was sleeping with little Elsarose. Pebbles was sitting on top of the dog and surveying the scene with great curiosity as she looked down at the young baby cooing.

The video makes it evident that the pets were very welcoming to the introduction of a new member of the family. Elsarose herself also seems very interested in her new companions. There is no doubt that when she grows up, she will be the best of friends with these two family members.

Pets have been scientifically proven to provide countless health and emotional benefits for both adults and children, according to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention. With this in mind, it is absolutely no wonder that pet ownership in families with children is high. However, some pets can become jealous of the attention given to their new family member. In this case, Pebbles and Nelda exhibited no signs of jealousy and instead got along extremely well.

Having pets that are tightly bonded with the family can make them very protective of any new additions. Canines especially can become smitten with babies and forge strong bonds. We can view this adorable bond in action in the video.

Family is not always defined by blood, and we do consider our pets our most beloved family members. What did you think of this story? Be sure to tell us your own stories about your own furry friends and let us know what your friends think!
