Pup Sneaks Away From Home To Befriend A Wild Deer

This amazing story took place when Rachel Howatt's favorite Husky, Koda, escaped from home at the end of December. After spending many days searching for her, she was desperate as she did not find him. What could have happened? Fortunately, and to the great surprise of all, the dog returned home as if nothing significant had happened.

After searching for her around Manitoba, Canada, the owners of the dog were glad that the dog was smart enough to find her way back home.

The most amazing discovery was when Howatt decided to ask her neighbor who had cameras installed in the woods if they had picked up on Koda.

Sure enough, the cameras had captured Koda, but she was not alone in the videos.

Right next to the dog in the videos was a male deer.

The entire evening, the dog spends its time standing next to to the buck who was not at all bothered by the presence of a domesticated dog next to him.

The video is impressive because they spend a whole 12 hours together. At one point, there were two bucks with the dog.

This is not the first time that this type of situation occurs between an escaped animal and deers. Deers are famous for their habit of befriending lost animals including cows and cats.

Howatt promised herself that she will take good care of the dog in the future and make sure that she does not escape again. However, she feels that the dog may want to go out on her own and meet with her deer friend again.

She said, "It doesn't surprise me at all that Koda was trying to make a new friend."

With the wild natures of Huskies, the owner of Koda is sure that she might have escaped in order to meet a new friend in the wild. What do you think? Did the dog escape to have an adventure in the woods? Pass this on to any animal lover you know.
