Proud Mom Pamela Anderson Calls Her Sons ‘True Miracles’ And Says They ‘Saved’ Her

Feb 05, 2023 by apost team

Pamela Anderson has succeeded in many areas throughout her lifetime. She is an actress, model, television personality, author and activist. But one of her proudest achievements is motherhood. Anderson had two beautiful children with the Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. The couple both had extremely successful careers and were constantly in the spotlight but wanted to raise their children away from everyone. Anderson did her best to keep her children away from the paparazzi despite the list of controversies that surrounded their mother and father.

The multi-talented woman was born July 1, 1967, in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada. Anderson has citizenship in both Canada and the United States and has also spent some time living in France. Her list of accomplishments and list of relationships is lengthy. By the 1990s, Anderson was a household name.

The star grew up in Canada, going to secondary school in Comox, British Columbia. She played volleyball in high school, graduating in 1985. Anderson made the decision to move to Vancouver in 1988 to pursue a career as a fitness instructor. A year later, she attended a sports game at the British Columbia Place Stadium in Vancouver, where she was featured on the jumbotron while wearing a Labatt’s Beer t-shirt. The company loved her and hired her shortly after as their spokesmodel. This launched Anderson’s modeling career, helping her get featured on the cover of “Playboy” in October 1989.

Anderson went on to be incredibly successful with her career, as well as doing whatever she could to keep her children out of the media’s focal point. Although it wasn’t always an easy task, the icon managed to keep family life as private as possible. In this piece, we’ll take a look at Anderson’s family, focusing on her two boys: Dylan and Brandon.

Anderson’s personal life has been a rollercoaster ride — to say the least. The star has been through her fair share of romance and heartache, including a wild relationship with the father of her children, Tommy Lee. Unfortunately, the relationship ended almost as quickly as it began, with the couple divorcing in 1998. However, since then, Anderson has been married to her bodyguard and now-husband Dan Hayhurst since Dec. 24, 2020. The couple lives on Vancouver Island in Canada.

While she may live apart from her grown children, the love Anderson has for them is still incredibly strong. Anderson talked about how stunning her boys grew up to be, inside and out, while appearing on “Ellen” in May 2015. “They’re genetically loaded,” she said about her children. She went on to talk about how much they both have started to look more like their father. Thankfully, the pair of young men are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out. “They’re real sweethearts,” Anderson said about them.

During an interview with the Today Show in September 2015, she talked about how she tried to protect her children from the spotlight so they could have a normal childhood. “They’re going to make their own choices for the rest of their lives, and it wouldn’t be their choices if we were dragging them down red carpets,” Anderson said about her and Lee’s choice on how to raise their children together. When her oldest son turned 18, she took him to his first red carpet. “He got so much attention,” Anderson said. This even inspired him to want to become an entertainer like his parents and venture into the field of acting.

An Introduction To Brandon Thomas Lee

And Brandon did follow his dreams and started a career in acting. He has been in a few films and television series, such as the Netflix film “Sierra Burgess is a Loser.” He also starred in a reality series, “The Hills: New Beginnings,” a revamped edition of the popular show. The time on this series helped launch Brandon as the latest breakout star. While he may have been the youngest castmate and one of the new additions to the show, he already had some friends before filming began.

“I knew Brody (Jenner) growing up in Malibu and we’ve been friends for years,” Brandon said during an interview with Town & Country. He wasn’t completely sure if it was the right move since he wanted to do more serious acting, but he ultimately decided to join the hit MTV show. “In the end I thought it would be a great opportunity for people to get to know me,” Brandon said.

Brandon almost became a reality star when he was younger, but his mother made sure it didn’t happen. “Our family has been approached maybe over 100 times to do our own show,” Brandon told Town & Country, “but that was something we never were interested in.” He went on to say how great it was to have a pretty normal childhood and be able to choose when to enter the spotlight. “(My mom) was never willing to put me and Dylan into the position where we would be forced into the spotlight, which I’m thankful for, because having that ability to make that decision for yourself means you can shape your own life,” he said.

New Beginnings

Brandon clearly values his family.

“The relationship with my brother is really important to me,” he told Town & Country. “I’m the older brother and I’ve always done everything first and made sure everything was OK.”

Even though he now goes to red carpets without his mother, Brandon still craves the normalcy his childhood gave him. “I hope people realize that I’m just a normal kid working really hard,” he said. “And it’s not as easy as it looks, no matter who your parents are.”

Growing up with such huge celebrities surrounding him sounds like a dream to most, but Brandon has learned the silver spoon doesn’t always taste so great. “It honestly is harder sometimes when your parents have a big name because of the stigma that comes with that,” he said. “I feel like people don’t really understand that and most celebrity kids ride on their parents’ coattails, and I never wanted to do that.”

And it’s clear that Brandon hasn’t done that, as he’s paved his own way in Hollywood. His most recent role was in “Cosmic Sin,” a sci-fi film starring Bruce Willis. And according to his IMDb profile, Brandon will also star in the film “Zero Road,” joining Jackson Rathbone and Diane Gaeta.

“A gifted teen turns to drug running to save his mother and survive his last year of high school,” the film’s IMDb description reads. With a feature film under his belt, it’s clear that Brandon’s career in Hollywood is picking up, and we’re excited to see what he does next.

An Intro To Dylan Jagger Lee

While Dylan’s brother Brandon followed their mother’s footsteps in the acting world, Dylan is following their father’s passion for music.

“As of right now, I am working really hard to become a music producer/DJ,” Dylan told W Magazine in 2017. “That is my dream and I want it to become a reality. I work every day on my music and I hope that soon I can make it happen.”

This is slightly different from the style Dylan had back in 2016 when he was interviewed by Nylon Magazine. He was typically seen strumming an acoustic guitar, very laid-back and chill. “I make relaxed music, just nice, soothing stuff,” Dylan said.

Dylan got his love for modeling from his mother and went from an avid beach-goer to a model almost overnight. He attended the Saint Laurent Fashion Show in Los Angeles in 2016 to see the designer’s fall collection. Since then, he has grown interested in fashion and has worked on making it a bigger part of his life.

He’s currently managed by EWG Management, which notes that he has worked with big brands like Acne Studios, Armani Exchange, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss and True Religion.

He talked about how he embarked on the new career path during an interview with The Daily Front Row. He got in touch with the creative director at Saint Laurent and got hired instantly at a casting. Afterward, he booked more jobs and did a campaign with True Religion and some other photoshoots. Dylan is most likely going to stay as a print model since runway may not be completely his forte.

“I would do it, but I’m a little short,” he said.

During an interview with W Magazine, Dylan talked about how important it is to look and feel good both on the inside and outside.

“I think nutrition is really important to take into consideration,” he said. “If you eat something ‘good’ for you, how could it be ‘bad’ for you?” He doesn’t work out much unless he’s doing something fun. “I’m never really at the gym,” he said. “My workout obsession is surfing and going on beach runs with my dog. Make exercise fun!”

His love for both music and modeling is something he is hoping to continue doing professionally. “I play guitar and piano and I guess I sing,” Dylan said humbly about his skills during an interview with The Daily Front Row. He has also continued to produce fun music. “I think it would be really cool to intertwine the two, music and modeling, so I do want to keep both up,” he said.

While his family is supportive of his passions, Dylan isn’t necessarily being handed anything. In fact, his parents raised him to be independent and make a name for himself.

“You can’t just be some kid (who’s) an offspring of famous people and make. You actually have to put in effort,” he repeated the advice his parents gave him. “They’ve really drilled that into my head.”

With great connections in the music industry and an already established name with modeling agencies, Dylan is bound to make a name for himself and embark on a great career.

We can’t wait to see what these two talented young men will do in the next few years.

It’s not surprising to learn that Anderson is extremely proud of her two sons. She has watched them grow into bright young men. Brandon, 26, and Dylan, 25, have proven to be proper gentlemen on top of being successful.

Following the premiere of her 2023 documentary “Pamela: A Love Story,” she spoke with Access Hollywood about how Brandon helped convince her to share more of her story with the world. “We have a close relationship, and you know, we always are supporting each other,” she said. “It’s just so sweet, it’s just nice.”

She continued, “I did do something right. I raised two beautiful boys and they’re so great and honest and loving and romantic and all those things you can check off the list because you have to be brave to fall in love.”

According to PEOPLE, Brandon also worked as a producer on the documentary alongside Jessica Hargrave and Julian Nottingham. Anderson spoke highly of her sons in her memoir, “Love, Pamela,” which was published on Jan. 31, 2023 – the same day her documentary came out.

“Brandon and Dylan are true miracles, considering their gene pool,” she wrote. “They have been through so much, yet they are not full of holes.”

Anderson has been through quite a lot in her life, but she has found true peace thanks to her boys. “They saved me,” she said. “I don’t want to put that on my kids but having children changed everything. I’ve loved every moment.”

There’s no denying that Anderson’s love for her children will continue to grow – and we’re excited to see what the future holds for Dylan and Brandon.
