Protective Family Dog Guards Daughters While They Wait For School Bus

Becky Lynn, a mom of two from Northville Michigan has no concerns for her daughters' safety when they go to catch the school bus every morning. 

This is because their faithful dog, a mastiff called Gordon, takes the girls across the road and stays there till they're on the bus and safely on the way to school. 

Mornings for these little girls start out with brushing their teeth, getting clothes on for the day, and grabbing some breakfast. But when it comes time to head for the bus stop, the family dog is their bodyguard, as reported here by The Daily Mail. 

The huge dog walks alongside the little girls, making sure that they are safe on the trek down the drive. Then, once they’ve reached the end of the driveway, he stays by their side to make sure they stay safe until the bus appears.

Only after his charges are safely on the bus does this brave dog feel like he is allowed to go on his way and back to the warmth of the house. In a video clip, the children's parents captured the entire heartwarming event one morning. 

When the bus rolls up and pulls to a stop, the dog watches until the girls climb on board and are safely in their seats. Once he knows that they are under the protection of an adult and on their way to school, the faithful dog leaves his post and hurries back to the house. From the bounce that seems to be in his step, it looks like he feels good about his service and the protection that he provided his favorite kids.
