Imagine groggily opening your eyes after a long night's sleep to be greeted by the dog that you had longed to have be a part of your family. You'd most likely think that it was a dream and that you were still sleeping, right? It sure looked like those thoughts were going through Nick Jonas' head when his wife, Priyanka Chopra, surprised him one recent morning with a German shepherd.

After realizing what had happened, Nick was so excited that he later posted that touching video clip on his Instagram page.

He added this text: "Pri came home with the absolute best surprise this morning. Please meet our new pup @ginothegerman I haven't stopped smiling since I woke up this morning and finally realized what was going on. Thank you @priyankachopra."

She then replied, "Happy almost anniversary babu ... ur face..hilarious."

They had been joined in matrimony via a Christian ceremony on Dec. 1 a year ago and with a Hindu ceremony on Dec. 2, 2018.

His dog's adorable Instagram account appropriately says, "My daddy's a Rockstar!" Within 48 hours of being created and only having six posts on it, it's garnered more than a quarter million followers.

Gino has also found the time to follow three accounts himself, those of Priyanka and Nick as well as of the account of the family's original dog, @diariesofdiana. Diana and Priyanka are generally inseparable although her travels sometimes causes breaks to occur form time to time.

This moment was part of a celebration of Priyanka and Nick finally getting to spend time together, which doesn't happen all that often with the worldwide lives that both of them lead. She had recently been in India, where she had voiced Elsa's character in the Indian-language version of "Frozen 2."

He has been performing with the Jonas Brothers during their Happiness Begins Tour. The group was in Canada entertaining at shows in Toronto and Montreal and will now be returning to the United States for 10 concerts before its tour turns international once again.

Have you ever surprised a loved one with a dog or cat? Or do you know of someone who has? How did that go? Was it such a pleasant surprise as this one was? Of course, you want to ensure that the recipient truly wants one before doing this, but, if that is the case, this is such a touching thing to do.
