Princess Kate Shines in Red for a Landmark Wimbledon Final

Catherine, Princess of Wales, brought a burst of scarlet to Centre Court for the Wimbledon women’s singles final on July 11, 2026. The 44-year-old royal wore a fitted Roland Mouret midi dress with a sculptural, asymmetric peplum, creating one of her most striking looks at the tournament.

She paired the dress with neutral Gianvito Rossi slingback pumps and a compact Tusting handbag. Ruby-and-diamond drop earrings and a coordinating necklace echoed the color of the dress, while her hair was swept into a polished half-up, half-down style. Although some fashion reports attributed the jewelry to G. Collins & Sons, neither Kensington Palace nor the jeweler publicly confirmed that identification.

The princess watched Linda Noskova defeat fellow Czech player Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. The victory earned Noskova her first Grand Slam singles title. Catherine then presented the champion with Wimbledon’s Venus Rosewater Dish, fulfilling one of her best-known duties as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Her vivid red outfit contrasted with the cornflower-blue Gabriela Hearst trouser suit she wore at Wimbledon on July 2, 2026. That ensemble included a white Ralph Lauren top and lapis-and-moonstone earrings. During the visit, Catherine met spectators in Wimbledon’s Queue, spoke with honorary stewards and helped check tickets before watching British player Arthur Fery compete.

The two ensembles also showed her willingness to move between modern tailoring and more traditional royal occasionwear. Both appearances reflected the balance that has defined her relationship with Wimbledon: formal responsibility, genuine enthusiasm for tennis and fashion choices created for a highly visible public setting.

The red Roland Mouret was not Catherine's first Wimbledon appearance of 2026. On July 2, she made an unannounced visit on Day Four — wearing a sapphire-blue Gabriela Hearst suit — where she surprised fans waiting in the famous Queue, handed out tickets, and watched play on an outside court alongside tennis great Sir Andy Murray. She also recorded a segment for the digital series "Overheard at Wimbledon: Royal Special," wearing a microphone to capture her conversations with club officials and players.

On July 11, at the women's final, she spoke with Canadian tennis player Gabriella "Gaby" Dabrowski, who had competed throughout the 2024 season while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. "In 2024 I went through breast cancer treatment and I guess someone told her because she acknowledged that and said it was amazing that I was still playing while going through treatment," Dabrowski told media afterward. "She said it was very inspirational, which I feel the same about her story as well." The exchange was quiet and brief. It resonated widely.

The connection — two women who had each faced cancer, finding a moment of recognition on the most watched court in the world — was the kind of unrehearsed detail that has come to define Catherine's public engagements since her return from treatment. She shows up, she is present, and she notices people.

The Roland Mouret was, by almost universal consensus, one of the best looks she has worn this year. "An unforgettable Women's Final," she had written afterward — a description that applied as much to the dress as to the tennis.
