As the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Princess Eugenie wears a ring that features a unique padparadscha sapphire. The combination of red and yellow hues in this stone makes it appear to look pink. While some royal watchers assert that Eugenie's stone is eerily similar to what her mother once wore, reports the Express, Sarah's ring was actually red in color.

The ring worn by Princess Kate is also a sapphire, however, it is not as rare as Eugenie's type of stone. It is widely believed that the padparadscha sapphire hails from the island of Sri Lanka according to Jewels For Me.

Although Eugenie's sapphire is rarer than Kate's, the future Queen is able to say that her ring is worth more according to The Sun. The Duke of Cambridge gave the late Princess Diana’s engagement ring to Kate when he proposed to her in 2010.

The two wed on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey. The much-anticipated wedding drew millions of viewers from all over the globe. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot more recently on October 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The padparadscha stone is believed to represent energy and clarity, helping the wearer to strive toward reaching all of their goals. The stone is said to make people calm and focused and ready to take on the challenges of life.
