Princess Charlotte’s Favored Snacktime Food Is Rather Regal For A Child

The world has seen the royal Cambridge children, Prince Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte growing up, and they appear so adorable and well-behaved. Charlotte, as the only girl, is simply too sweet for words and always looks prim and proper. This is a testament to the kids' parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, who appear to be quite hands-on in their approach to parenting and they clearly lead by a very good example.
From time to time they let the public in on some special family moments, be they touching photos or anecdotes about the children's lives. One such anecdote came from the Duchess of Cambridge when she described what her children like to eat. Perhaps surprisingly, Charlotte seems to have a palate that is quite mature for her age and one of her favorite snacks to eat is rather fancy for a 9-year-old.
While she and her brothers love to eat pizza and pasta, Charlotte is also fond of olives! The bitter and salty fruit is a well-loved adult staple, often served on antipasti platters or in martinis, but it's not often that young children have developed a taste for it. Charlotte is clearly years ahead and knows about the good things in life.
As with many other things, Charlotte has proven herself to be quite the grown-up little lady — after all, she does turn 6 in May. In the same interview, Middleton spoke on other foods that her kids liked, and why they love making their own pizza dough. What a culinary bunch!

For how publicly Prince William and Kate Middleton lead their lives, they mostly tend to keep their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, out of the spotlight, allowing them to have a relatively normal upbringing. But of course, the public loves to see what the royal children are up to and to see them each grow into their own unique personalities. For this reason, the Duchess of Cambridge will often reveal little details about her family or new photographs of them, which are often taken by herself.
During the current global situation, the Cambridge children have been reportedly enjoying their freedom at their family's house in Norfolk, Anmer Hall. A source even told The Sun:
"George, Charlotte and Louis are now relishing their freedom in the spacious gardens of Anmer Hall. Climbing frames, a climbing wall and swings are a big part of the Cambridge outdoors activity scene, and Kate will do pond dipping and note-taking to log what they have spotted. Birdwatching with binoculars is another favourite of the kids.’"
This comes as no surprise since children love to go on adventures and explore their backyard — theirs just might be quite a bit bigger than other childrens'! The same source also revealed that all three of the children have been enjoying baking with their mother, which is a very sweet and heartwarming activity for them to all do together. On the topic of food, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed in 2019 during a royal appearance what some of the children's favorite foods are and some of it was surprising!

Marie Claire reports that Middleton admitted Charlotte "loves olives!" For a five-year-old, that is a very developed and sophisticated palate indeed. But it appears that she gets her love of the salty and bitter fruit from her mother, as Express also reported that Middleton admitted:
"I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well."
What's more, Charlotte and her brother George love making "cheesy pasta" and they even make it for their mom! But the food-making fun doesn't stop there. The kids even make their own pizzas including pizza dough from scratch. Marie Claire reports that Middleton has said that "they love it because they can get their hands messy." It makes perfect sense that children would love to get dirty in the kitchen just as they can get dirty in the garden too!
When the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Lavender Primary School in north London in 2019, she spoke to the children about her kids' love of food and cooking. The chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, Matthew Kleiner-Mann, told Express about some of the things the Duchess had spoken about on her trip. He said:
"She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her ... One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in, and they make salads and stuff."
He went on to say that the Duchess values food, stating, “Food is important to her," as well as the benefits of physical exercise and mental wellbeing.
