Princess Charlotte Already Copies Kate Middleton In The Fashion Department

Princess Charlotte is an absolute cutie, and as the only girl among two brothers, it's especially heartwarming to see the connection she shares with her mother Kate Middleton. As she gets older it's fascinating to see her personality grow, but with regard to her fashion sense, it's clear she's her mother's daughter. A feminine dresser since the world was first introduced to her, Kate mostly wears dresses and is frequently seen in various patterns including polka dots and occasionally plaid, but it's florals that she tends to favor strongly. From shorter cocktail dresses to flowing gowns, Kate's dress collection is impressive, to say the least. She's become a true fashion icon in her own right, with many keeping an eager eye on what look Kate steps out in next.

Princess Charlotte has adopted a similar style 

As Kate's only daughter, it's no surprise to find some similarities between her and Charlotte. But that influence also extends sartorially, with Princess Charlotte often seen wearing pretty dresses and even florals. The brands she's seen in include Amaia Kids and Cath Kidston. And while Kate dresses up her looks with demure flats or high heels, Charlotte is still a young child, so sneakers and sandals are the norm, although she certainly sports dressy mary-janes for more formal occasions.

Not only do Kate and Charlotte's dresses match, but their winter overcoats do too. One example is a forest green coat that Charlotte wore to Christmas at Sandringham last year. It's well known that Kate is fond of deep green and looks especially striking in the color, so to see Charlotte wearing a coat that matches and resembles one of Kate's green coats is adorable. It's almost as if Charlotte's closet is full of mini replicas of Kate's clothes!

Not only does Charlotte emulate Kate's style — which, to be honest, we would too — the young girl resembles her mother in other ways, for example how she poses for pictures, and her general positive and gracious demeanor. There's certainly some influence from her dad's side of the family too, after all, she resembles Queen Elizabeth a lot, but it's clear that Charlotte is quite her mother's daughter

The similarities between mother and daughter are obvious right now, but as Charlotte matures into a girl and young woman, it will be wonderful to see her become more of her own person. She's already followed in her mother's footsteps stylistically, and judging by the kind of girl she already is, she's sure to make a positive stamp on the world.
