On Feb. 26, 2025, the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have been married for 14 years, touched hearts with a rare and tender moment of affection captured on camera. The video, posted to Instagram Stories and X, portrayed the royal couple walking hand in hand through a railway station, with Princess Catherine gently leaning on Prince William for support – a rare intimate gesture between the pair. 

This marked William and Catherine’s first public appearance together since the February half-term break. They kicked off their day by taking a train from London to Cardiff, the capital of Wales. From there, they traveled approximately 12 miles north to visit Pontypridd Market, a longstanding hub of local life dating back to 1805. 

During their stop, the royal couple engaged in a friendly competition, baking traditional Welsh cakes, and also spoke with small business owners who form the backbone of the market. The couple spent time with young volunteers at the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, where they met enthusiastic locals cultivating their own plums and transforming them into homemade jam. 

Princess Catherine, 43, engaged warmly with the group and was reportedly heard saying she would share her own jam recipe with them. The Princess even revealed that her children “thought it was fascinating.”

While chatting with those at the community site, Catherine also gave a glimpse into her family life in Norfolk, particularly with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. She shared how the youngsters had been exploring the outdoors and learning to forage, an activity they’ve found exciting and educational. 

As Prince William and Princess Catherine wrapped up a joint visit to Wales, a sweet video clip captured their departure from the town of Pontypridd. The video captioned “Thank you, Pontypridd!” offered royal admirers a rare glimpse into the couple’s warm dynamic.
