Princess Catherine Is "Letting Go" of What Is No Longer Needed in Autumn Video

On Nov. 15, 2025, the Princess of Wales released a thoughtful new installment of her “Mother Nature” video series. The autumn edition, titled “Autumn,” marks the third chapter in Princess Catherine’s quarterly exploration of the natural world and its emotional lessons.

Delivered in her own voice, the message centers on reflection, growth, and the quiet wisdom found in seasonal change. This follows her earlier spring and summer installments of the Mother Nature series, both of which highlighted nature’s role in supporting mental health—especially during the Princess’s recovery following her 2024 cancer treatment.

It also arrives during a period of renewed stability for her family as they settle into their long-term Windsor home, Forest Lodge, embracing a new chapter grounded in routine and connection. The Mother Nature series marks a refreshing and intimate shift for Princess Catherine, who has traditionally participated in carefully structured public engagements rather than personal filmed messages.

With “Autumn,” she invites viewers to reflect on the rhythms of the natural world—rhythms she has personally leaned on throughout her own healing. Filmed across locations in Windsor Great Park and surrounding woodlands, the video includes scenes of Catherine cooking with children from Farley Junior Academy in Luton, supported by the charity Go Beyond.

The emotional subtext is unmistakable. After undergoing chemotherapy in 2024, Princess Catherine has spoken openly about nature becoming “my sanctuary” during her health journey. Her autumn message, with its emphasis on letting go and finding clarity, reflects these deeply personal experiences while remaining universal in tone.

Princess Catherine begins:

“As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into Autumn. This is the season for reflection and refinement.”

The video, filmed by Will Warr, opens with footage of the Princess walking through a forest with chef Gill Meller, then transitions to scenes of outdoor cooking with children and sweeping shots of rich fall foliage. As the imagery unfolds, she continues:

“Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most, encouraging us to simply pay attention and listen.”

Her narration underscores a central theme of the season: letting go. She says:

“With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there’s beauty to be found in change, impermanence and in letting go.”

The Princess concludes her voiceover with a message of resilience:

“Let love be the root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope through change. Endure.”

In the video’s caption, signed with a “C,” she reflects further:

“Autumn—a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest.”

The timing of this installment follows the family’s move to Forest Lodge in Windsor—described by royal sources as their “forever home.” Catherine’s words about deepening roots and releasing what no longer serves may be read as symbolic of the family’s evolving roles and long-term stability as the future of the monarchy continues to take shape.

By sharing her reflections through a creatively produced nature film rather than a traditional statement, the Princess of Wales continues to demonstrate a modern, emotionally intelligent approach to public communication. Her “Autumn” message invites viewers to pause, breathe, and find comfort in the natural cycles that guide every life—royal or otherwise.
