Princess Beatrice tied the knot with fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi earlier today in a secret ceremony taking place in Windsor.

With the ongoing pandemic, the love birds were forced to marry in a scaled-down version of what was anticipated. The ceremony was intimate, with just twenty guests in attendance including Queen Elizabeth II, her husband Prince Philip, and other key members of the Royal family.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi said “I do” in front of their closest relatives and friends at the All Saints Chapel, Windsor Great Park, according to The Sun. The couple had originally planned to marry at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace, London, in May, although the wedding was scrapped as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead, Princess Bea and her now-hubby opted for marrying at a secret wedding earlier this morning. According to the publication, the ceremony was conducted with strict social distancing measures in place.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were driven from Windsor Castle to witness the happy couple tie the knot. The Queen was the first guest to leave the ceremony, as she is presenting fundraising hero Captain Tom Moore, 100, with knighthood later this afternoon.

Princess Beatrice became engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in September 2019 on a weekend trip to Italy, following two years of dating. Mozzi is an English-Italian businessman and has one son from his previous marriage, Christopher, who was born in 2016.

Beatrice’s mom Sarah Ferguson was “thrilled” at the news of their engagement, saying that she “watched their relationship develop with pride.” She posted a series of tweets, one which included a close-up of the massive engagement ring that Princess Beatrice will now be sporting.
