Princess Beatrice Has Reason To Celebrate Following Royal Wedding

Princess Beatrice has had a big year, as she got married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an intimate ceremony last month in Windsor. Now the young royal has even more to celebrate with her 32nd birthday being on August 8. Often receiving tributes from fellow royal family members on her birthday, Bea's family proves that they're as close as can be.

Born on August 8, 1988, Princess Beatrice turns 32 today, and will no doubt be keeping celebrations small. Her wedding last month to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was also an intimate affair. Beatrice looked absolutely gorgeous, as she wore a vintage ivory Peau de Soie taffeta dress by Norman Hartnell—who also designed the Queen's post-WWII wedding dress—that belongs to her grandmother the Queen, and was lent to her specifically for her wedding. The dress features intricate beading that runs up and down the bodice into the skirt, while Beatrice's addition of sheer puffy sleeves updated it for her special day.

Although Bea doesn't have a public Instagram account she uses, her mother and sister are avid users and last year posted moving tributes to her, as well as other royal family members. Her mother Sarah Ferguson took to Twitter to post a montage of photos including Bea as a baby and toddler, as well as a then more recent photo. She captioned her post: "Happy Birthday dearest Beatrice 🥳🥳 xx"

Bea's sister Princess Eugenie posted her tribute to Instagram, sharing adorable photos of the two sisters. Her very sweet message said:

"You have been bossing it since before I was born and continue to be the most wonderful person, friend and big sister... Happy Birthday to you Beabea!! Xx 😘 🎉🎊🥳"

Princess Beatrice's father Prince Andrew also posted on Instagram, sharing his own montage of photos, while the official royal family account posted a gorgeous photo of the young princess and wished her a happy birthday too. This year, no tributes have been posted at the time of writing.

However, Bea isn't the only royal born in August—her birthday on August 8 comes just days after Meghan Markle's on August 4, which also happens to be the same birthday as the late Queen Mother. Princess Beatrice's aunt, Princess Anne, is born one week after her and celebrates her birthday on August 15.

A "blood princess," meaning she was born into her role as a princess, Princess Beatrice is in the line of succession, meaning she could potentially become queen one day if everyone ahead of her were unable to perform their duty. She comes in at number nine in line to the throne, while her younger sister Eugenie follows her at number 10.
