Princess Beatrice Has Good Relationship With Fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's Son And Wants To Start A Family

Sources are saying that Princess Beatrice is an excellent stepmother to her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's son, and now she feels ready to tie the knot. Next year, the 31-year-old royal is planning to get married and become the 3-year-old toddler's official stepmother. 

Royal commentator Phil Dampier told Fabulous Digital as per The Sun, “I’ve heard Princess Beatrice is getting on very well with Christopher and would like to have a family of her own soon." The couple is taking measures to keep the little boy out of the media spotlight, but he is likely to be present at the wedding.

The princess began dating the millionaire property developer around the time of her sister Eugenie's wedding that took place last October. They announced their engagement after Edoardo proposed in September 2018.

The princess is ninth in line to the throne of England, and she will be the only princess to marry a man who already has a child. Prince Charles was the only other royal who had a similar scenario in the previous generation. He became the father of Tom and Laura when he married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005, and Camilla became the stepmother of Princes Harry and William.

Beatrice and her fiance are supposedly planning to get married in the summer of next year, but no official date has been announced for the ceremony. Dampier says that the couple is unlikely to televise the event. "I don’t think from people I’m speaking to she particularly wanted a wedding as lavish as Eugenie’s anyway," Dampier added. 

He also said he believes it will be a private ceremony with some photos released afterward. It's also not likely to be held in another country because the Queen can't travel that far.

Beatrice is known to be shyer than her sister, so a private wedding would be more expected in her case. Dampier also said princess seems to be getting along well with Christopher's birth mother. 

“The fact that she will become a step-mother and Edo has a child makes it slightly more complicated but she seems to get on well with Edo’s ex so it’s likely she will be at the wedding so it’s going to be quite an interesting dynamic," he said. 

Edoardo was in a relationship with his ex-wife Dara for three years before he proposed marriage to her in 2015. Their relationship ended suddenly, and Edoardo began dating the princess just a few weeks after the breakup.
