Prince William’s 39th Birthday — Prince Charles Posts Sweet Childhood Snap To Honor Duke Of Cambridge

Jun 21, 2021 by apost team

Happy birthday to Prince William! June 21, 2021, marks the day that the Duke of Cambridge turns 39 years old. It is believed that Kate Middleton may pull out all the stops to help her husband celebrate his birthday this year.

It has been a difficult year for members of the royal family following the death of Prince Philip in April 2021, followed by the allegations of bullying and racism within the royal family by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which has led to a major rift between William and Harry as well as Prince Charles and Harry. While only time may tell if the brothers will be able to mend their relationship, it is clear that the rift has been hard on both of them.

For the time being, William will be celebrating his birthday with his immediate family, as coronavirus restrictions continue to be in place in the U.K. He may not be able to meet his father or grandmother at this time. However, that has certainly not stopped other members of the royal family from sending in their wishes on social media.

This includes William's father Prince Charles, who shared a touching throwback photo of himself and his son when he was an infant, as well as the queen, who shared a collage of photos of her grandson who will be the future king. In response to all of the good wishes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a thank you to their social media channel.

William is certainly deeply loved by his family as well as the public. Join us in wishing the Duke of Cambridge a very happy birthday!

Queen Elizabeth's birthday well wishes to her grandson Prince William were posted to the official royal family Twitter account, with a series of images of the future king. In one photo, he is seen with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children at 2019's Trooping the Colour event, while in another the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured laughing together while on their recent royal tour of Scotland. The post was captioned:

"Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday today!"

Meanwhile, on Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall's official Twitter account, they posted two photos in honor of William. The first is a black-and-white throwback photo from 1982 to when William was a baby, where he's pictured on his father's lap. The rare photo of William as an infant is all kinds of adorable! The other photo is a much more recent one that shows William smiling and laughing alongside his father and Camilla at what appears to be a public event. Their birthday post was captioned:

"A very Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!"

With so many well wishes, William posted to his and Middleton's official Twitter thanking everyone — from his royal family to fans all over the world — for their birthday messages. Alongside a photo of the future king smiling, the post was captioned:

"Thank you for all the birthday wishes and kind messages."

While only time will tell how William celebrated his 39th birthday today, we are sure that he will enjoy spending time with his family in London.

The day before William's 39th birthday was Father's Day in the U.K., and William spent the day with his two eldest kids as they all kicked off a half marathon event that took place on the queen's Sandringham Estate in Sandringham, Norfolk. Addressing runners before the half marathon took place, William even got Prince George and Princess Charlotte involved when he held the microphone down to them as they counted down the start of the race altogether.

Once the half marathon was underway, the three of them could be seen waving when runners passed by them at the beginning of the race. William looked relaxed and was smiling as he wore a pale blue shirt and navy chinos on the day.

The Cambridges also celebrated Father's Day on their social media account, as they posted a video collage honoring the fathers and grandfathers in their lives. One image from 1990 showed Princes William and Harry with their father, who's wearing a kilt, as they lounge on the grass, while another image shows Middleton and her father on her wedding day.

Another photo honored Prince Philip, who passed away on April 9 at the age of 99, in which the queen and her late husband are pictured surrounded by many of their great-grandchildren. The final photo showed William in military uniform surrounded by his own three children.

There's certainly been a lot of love for William in the last few days with his birthday and Father's Day coinciding back to back, and we can only imagine how happy the future king feels right now.
