While they made an appearance to announce a new sailing race, Kate Middleton and Prince William commented on the arrival of their new family member. It is just one day after his brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their newborn son, so it was certainly on everybody’s minds.

Prince William told the press that they were ‘absolutely thrilled’ and even gave his brother an amusing welcome to the ‘sleep deprivation society that is parenting.’ As if to confirm his brother’s welcome, Prince Harry recently told ITV, ‘I’ve had about two hours sleep’.

William and Kate should know a thing or two about sleep deprivation since they’re already parents to three young children: Prince George, 5, Prince Louis, 1,and Princess Charlotte, 4. When asked if there was any advice for his little brother, William responded, 'Plenty of advice. I wish him all the best, and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family and all the joys that come with it that.’

Kate also wanted to echo her husband’s well wishes and added, ‘It’s really exciting for both of them. These next few weeks, it’s always a bit daunting first time around so [we] wish them all the best.’

The world met the royal baby this morning when his mom and dad brought him out for his official debut. Now we just can’t wait to find out his name!
