Even after all these decades and years, many of us are still heartbroken over the death of Princess Diana. Diana wasn't just any royal. Instead, she was a one-of-a-kind humanitarian, activist, and speaker. She taught the world what compassion, grace, and humility truly looked like. While we might love Meghan and Kate, there will truly never be another Princess Di.

Because Diana is so universally loved, it's hard to think about anyone having a single cruel word to say about her. However, she recently got some tough love from her own son, Prince William.

In the documentary "Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy," Prince William reflected on his amazing mother, but speculated that she would have been a "nightmare" as a grandmother. But fans of the prince needn't worry, as he meant it in the most loving way possible.

"She’d love the children to bits, but she’d be an absolute nightmare," Prince William commented in the documentary per E. He went on to explain that she'd be the type of grandmother who'd show up when he and Kate were trying to give the children a bath, help the kids to cause mischief and get water and bubbles everywhere, and then disappear when it was time to clean everything up.

If you're sobbing at Prince William's spot-on estimation of what Di would've been like as a grandmother, just wait until you hear about what constitutes a bedtime story at the palace.

The prince also explained that he keeps his mother's memory alive by telling his children stories about who she was and how she impacted the world. "It’s important that they know who she was and that she existed," the prince said, adding that stories about his mother were a "constant" presence in the lives of little George and Charlotte.

It's hard to think about the fact that Diana isn't around to watch her sons raise the next generation of royals. However, it's beautiful to know that William and Harry are keeping her memory alive. There's an old saying that a person doesn't truly die until the last time anyone ever speaks their name. If that's true, Princess Diana will live forever.
