Prince William And Kate Middleton Took Their Children For A Fun-Filled Day Out

Apr 29, 2021 by apost team

After all of the recent challenges surrounding the royal family with Prince Phillip’s death, Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to do something special for their children. On April 25, they took their three children to the new Sandringham play park on the Queen’s Norfolk estate. Prince George, age seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and three-year-old Prince Louis were all in attendance on this fun family day out.

The Cambridges are no strangers to making headlines. They have been one of the most talked-about families in the public eye and it has only increased since they relocated to Kensington Palace. The duke and duchess have also been seen more in the news since their recent role elevation due to the pandemic. However, this time they are being talked about for simply being a normal family and enjoying a lovely day spent outdoors.

The new Sandringham park is inspired by Kate’s Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019 according to Hello Magazine. According to Daily Mail, the park was built to replace a smaller play area and features a 26-feet tall centerpiece that is a replica of the Appleton water tower. The water tower is a nearby Victorian landmark that was built in 1877 to improve the quality of the water being used by Sandringham House.

The playground features a 46-feet long tube slide, water play tables, a rope swing and talking tubes so children can chat with each other while playing. Hello Magazine reports that the park was designed in alignment with Kate’s ethos, which is always “encouraging children to immerse themselves within nature.”

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK! Magazine, “Kate is aware of screen time and tries to limit the children being exposed to too much. When the children have a break, she takes them outside, come rain or shine.” Kate sounds like any other mom, just doing her best to make sure her kids get out and enjoy the outdoors instead of staying cooped up inside for too long.

Prince William and Kate’s children sure are growing quickly. The Kensington Royal Instagram account posted an adorable photo of Prince Louis on April 23. The caption said, “Three tomorrow! Taken earlier this week by The Duchess before he left for his first day of nursery, The Duke and Duchess are pleased to share a new image of Prince Louis.” The photo is very sweet and shows Prince Louis sitting on a red bicycle with his backpack on. We wish Prince Louis a belated happy birthday!

Elle reports that Prince George and Princess Charlotte recently returned to school at Thomas’ Battersea after the Easter holiday while Prince Louis has recently started nursery school at Wilcock’s nursery. Both schools are located near the family’s home at Kensington Palace.

The new Sandringham play park is located over two hours away from their home, but it seems this was a special occasion due to Kate’s connection to the park. Onlookers said it looked like the family, especially the young children, were enjoying the new adventure-inspired playground. The family was among the first people in attendance at the new play area as it had only opened on April 23, 2021.

Kate was recently seen taking Prince George and Princess Charlotte shopping at Smiggle in London on April 19. Smiggle is a children’s stationery store that offers a variety of backpacks, school supplies and other fun items. Kate must have brought her children there to pick out some supplies for their recent return to school.

Twitter user @lexif1980 shared details on her personal account about the sighting, which took place in one of her stores. She wrote, “I’ve always been a Kate Middleton fan... today she was in one of my stores on the King’s Road with George and Charlotte, what the team told me about how she was with them and how the kids were with each other makes me like her even more!”

She added, “I wasn’t there but she talked to my team, the kids had a budget that they stuck to and paid for their own things with their own money. Just normal well brought up children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing and that’s just lovely!” It is indeed lovely to see children who have grown up with so much media attention behave just like anyone else.

This week marks another milestone for the Cambridge family as the Duke and Duchess are set to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. This landmark will be a great cause for celebration on April 29. The couple was married in Westminster Abbey back in April of 2011. We are wishing this family well and hope for many more celebrations to come.
