Prince Louis Wore The Outfit That Prince Harry Wore As A Baby At Trooping The Colour

At yesterday’s “Trooping the Colour” event to mark Queen Elizabeth’s birthday, the whole immediate Royal Family came out to celebrate. Little one-month-old baby Archie was excused from the festivities, but even his mom Meghan Markle was there. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three children were in attendance, and royal watchers noticed something at the traditional Buckingham Palace balcony appearance.

5-year-old Prince George and 3-year-old Princess Charlotte joined their family on the balcony, but it was their little brother, Prince Louis who stole the show with his exuberant waving. It was the 1-year-old’s first “Trooping the Colour” and it seems like he was a natural at royal ceremonies.

There was a deja vu moment with the little boy’s appearance though; it seems as though Prince Louis is wearing the same white shirt with blue embroidery that his uncle Prince Harry wore in 1986, reported Harper's Bazaar. That was Harry’s second “Trooping the Colour,” by then a seasoned veteran of the event.

Have a look at the photos below, do you see the similarity? Harry is seen being held by Princess Anne and coincidentally, she and the Duchess of Cambridge both wore a pastel yellow. She even has the same tilt of the hat. These photos are like a mirror through time.

The Royal Family makes it a point to recycle the clothing that previous generations have worn. The choice of classic attire with timeless silhouettes, patterns, and colors make sure that the clothes can be passed on through time. Royal fans on social media have noticed that Prince George actually wore the same outfit in 2015 that his dad wore to the 1984 “Trooping the Colour,” and once again emulated his dad at his sister’s christening.
