April 23, 2020, marks the second birthday of Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge. To celebrate the young royal's special day, we'll take a look back at his best moments so far as well as see how he's celebrating this year.

A Paint-Splattered 2nd Birthday

The adorable toddler was captured in some gorgeous photos by his mother, Kate Middleton, that were posted on the @KensingtonRoyal Instagram to commemorate his birthday this year.

The little one's inner joy and happy nature were encapsulated on camera as he giggled and showed his mom his paint-covered hands. He's dressed in a blue and white checked shirt and we also get a glimpse of his full head of thick brown hair. He has grown up so fast that it seems like yesterday when the public got their first look at the little one.

Balcony Premiere

Shortly after Louis’ first birthday, the public got to see the young prince address the crowds for the very first time as the immediate Royal Family made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on June 8, 2019, to enjoy a Royal Air Force fly-past after the Queen’s Birthday Parade.

That day, little Louis made his balcony premiere and was quite thrilled about it. He was enthusiastic and looked incredibly excited to be there. Held by his mother Kate Middleton, he adorably waved at the air force planes, while he pointed and mouthed “Wow.”

Grandpa’s 70th Birthday

In November 2018, Louis’ grandpa Charles, Prince of Wales, turned 70 years old. In honor of Charles’s birthday, the entire immediate royal family came together for a photoshoot for an exclusive for The Sunday Times, but it was the goofing around between Charles and Louis that stole the show. In one shot, little Prince Louis is being held in his mother's arms but reaches out to his grandpa's face as if to say he just wants to hang out with him. Prince Charles is caught giggling while the rest of the family looks on, smiling.

Balancing Milestone

Earlier this year, Kate Middleton revealed that Prince Louis is now able to balance himself and quite proud of it. According to HELLO Magazine, "Kate said Louis had started to tell her, 'Mummy, I'm balancing,' and she said it was really nice to see him turning into a little boy from being a baby. She's obviously very proud of her children."

Louis first showed off his progress from crawling to walking in May 2019, as he ran toward the camera at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Showing Appreciation

Prince Louis and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, recently showed their gratitude as they took part in the Clap for our Carers initiative that @kensingtonroyal posted in an appreciation post for all National Health Services workers.

Isn’t it crazy to think Louis is already 2 years old? Let us know in the comments and be sure wish the young royal a happy birthday while you’re at it.
