How would you react if you had the chance to meet the royal family? Most of us would probably become the most awkward version of ourselves possible. But not this ambitious Australian five-year-old who recently took a tug at the beard of Prince Harry.

The royal couple was on location in Dubbo, New South Wales (Australia) to take part in a ceremony to honor the 90-year existence of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. During their stay the couple also met with school children at the Buninyong Public School. There, Prince Harry met five-year-old Luke Vincent.

The kindergartner, who has Down Syndrome, was so excited to meet Prince Harry and his wife that he reached out for the whiskers of the prince. The prince responded by pushing his chin forward to make it more accessible to the youngster.

Luke then handed Meghan the flowers he had for her before giving both Harry and Meghan a hug. Anne Van Dartel, the principal of the school, says that Luke was preoccupied with the beard of Prince Harry. Dartel explains that after the young boy received a hug from Meghan, Prince Harry bent over to speak to the kindergartner. This gesture, Dartel smiles while explaining, left the youngster with no choice.

The principal adds that it has been a treat to kids living in on the countryside to see people that previously only existed to them on television. The scene with Luke causes the imagination to conjure images of Harry and Meghan with the child the couple is currently awaiting.

Prince Harry told a crowd in attendance at a speech given by him in Dubbo that he was happy to return to a place his grandparents visited 64 years ago. He also expressed that he was anxious to return home with reports of the change in life experienced in the region of the Great Western Plains.

The royal explained that the best part of Australia was the people. He called it a pleasure to be in the company of such honest and hard-working people. He commended them further by saying their sense of humor, resilience, and commitment to their own homeland set them apart from many across the globe.
