Prince Harry Smiles With Archie & Lilibet In Meghan Markle’s Loving Father’s Day Snap

Meghan Markle shared a warm Father’s Day tribute to Prince Harry, offering a rare glimpse of the Duke of Sussex with the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. In the Instagram post, Harry smiles as Archie and Lilibet embrace him, a family moment that reflects the private life the Sussexes have built in Montecito, California.
Harry and Meghan married in 2018 and stepped back as working members of the royal family in 2020. Archie was born in London on May 6, 2019, and Lilibet Diana was born in California on June 4, 2021. The couple has spoken often about protecting their children’s privacy while allowing occasional personal moments to be shared with the public.
The post also arrives as attention turns to a possible Sussex family visit to the United Kingdom in July 2026. Reports have linked the trip to events marking the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, which are scheduled for July 10 to July 17, 2027. If Archie and Lilibet travel, it would mark their first visit to the U.K. since the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
Security remains a central issue for Harry, who has challenged the level of police protection he receives during visits to Britain. The Court of Appeal dismissed his security appeal in May 2025, leaving arrangements subject to official assessment. Any family visit may also renew questions about Harry’s relationship with King Charles III.

Meghan’s Father’s Day message placed the focus on Prince Harry’s role at home: father to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a photo of Harry with both children and wrote:
“They’re so lucky to have you. We all are,” before adding, “Happy Father’s Day to our one and only.”
The affectionate post offered a personal look at the family’s life in California, where Harry and Meghan have raised their children since leaving full-time royal duties.
The family’s privacy has been a consistent priority for the couple. Archie and Lilibet appear only rarely in public posts, and the Sussexes have balanced that privacy with selected glimpses into family milestones. Their children became Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex after King Charles III acceded to the throne in 2022, following royal convention for grandchildren of the monarch.
Harry’s public work has often connected fatherhood with service. Through the Invictus Games, which he founded for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans, he has continued to support military families and recovery through sport. The Birmingham edition of the Games is scheduled for July 2027, bringing the event back to the United Kingdom.
A reported family trip for the countdown events would carry personal and public significance. Archie and Lilibet have not been publicly known to visit Britain since 2022, and it is unclear whether they would see King Charles during any stay. Harry met his father at Clarence House in September 2025, their first in-person meeting in more than a year.
Harry has also said he wants reconciliation with his family. In a BBC interview in May 2025, he said:
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.”
For Meghan’s tribute, however, the message was simpler: gratitude for Harry as a devoted father.
