The Sunday Times has reported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be christening their son, Archie, in July of this year. However, it seems Queen Elizabeth will be unable to attend due to prior commitments.

The royal correspondent for The Sunday Times, Roya Nikkah, revealed, "The Sussexes have chosen St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle for the christening."

The chapel has a special memory for both Meghan and Harry as they were married there last year. Also, Prince Harry's own baptism took place at the chapel in 1984 according to the correspondent. Archie's full name was announced on May 8th as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, he will only 2 months old when he is christened.

Other members of the royal family are expected to be seen at the christening the British newspaper reports. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will be attending alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. But one person who is speculated not to be in attendance is Her Majesty due to her having to tend to prior arrangements.

Though her absence will probably be duly noted, it is not the first time The Queen has missed a christening. According to CNN, back in 2018 The Queen and Prince Phillip did not attend the christening of Prince Louis, the 3rd child of William and Kate.

The report said, "The decision is understood not to have been taken for health reasons and was mutually agreed by the Queen and Louis' parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, some time ago."

This past father's day, the Sussexes Instagram account shared a sweet photo of baby Archie clinging to Prince Harry's finger. The post read, "Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex!"

This photo shows a never before seen image of Archie where he is tenderly peaking over the Prince Harry's hand while wrapping his little hand around the Duke's finger. We can't wait to see more tender moments like this one, and we'll also be looking forward to seeing the new parents and their new baby boy making the public appearance in July.
