Prince Harry & Meghan Markle May Make Christmas Comeback In Britain After Eight Years Away

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be in for a very different Christmas this year!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly considering spending the holidays in the United Kingdom for the first time in eight years, potentially welcoming Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, to join them for the festivities.
According to HELLO!, the couple are making early plans to celebrate Christmas at their new U.K. home rather than return to Montecito, California, where they spent the last six years after stepping back from their senior royal roles.
However, there is one important person whose decision could determine where the family spends the holidays.
The Sussexes are reportedly hoping to spend the festive season with Ragland, with their final arrangements depending on her preferences.
While previous reports suggested that Harry and Meghan would travel back to California to celebrate with Meghan’s mother, the latest information suggests that the family could instead invite her across the Atlantic.
The couple, who returned to Britain in August with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are reportedly keen to make the most of their new life in the U.K.
According to USA TODAY, it could be easier for Ragland to travel to Britain than for the entire Sussex family to return to California with their children and private security arrangements.
Still, the plans are not yet confirmed, and the family could ultimately decide to spend Christmas in the United States.

The couple is also expected to celebrate Thanksgiving with Ragland, with the location of both holidays reportedly depending on what she wants to do.
While Prince Harry and Meghan may be preparing for a British Christmas, that does not mean they will be joining the royal family at Sandringham.
The couple last spent Christmas with Harry’s relatives in 2018, when Meghan attended the traditional festivities as the prince’s fiancée.
The pair joined Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, for the family’s Christmas Day church service.
Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan have spent the holidays in North America, with their relationship with the royal family remaining strained.
According to The Times, the Sussexes are not expecting an invitation to King Charles III’s traditional Christmas gathering.
A source told the publication that a reunion would be “too awkward and too difficult,” adding that the couple was not waiting for an invitation.
While the family’s Christmas destination remains uncertain, Meghan has already been preparing for the festive season through her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The Duchess has previously revealed that holiday preparations for the brand began months in advance, with her seasonal offerings including an advent calendar inspired by the family’s Montecito home.
The Sussexes are also expected to release another Christmas card, following last year’s family images that offered a glimpse into their private life.
Meghan previously shared her vision of a relaxed Christmas at home, describing a day filled with family games, music, candles and plenty of food.
“I plan to spend today cuddled up with my family,” she wrote, adding that the festivities might include pajamas, Scrabble and “endless grazing.”
Whether the Sussexes spend Christmas in Britain or California, it seems that family time remains their priority.
And with Ragland’s decision potentially determining the location of the celebrations, the family’s holiday plans may still have a little festive surprise in store.
