In the years since they became one of the most talked about couples in the world, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have never been shy about showing their love for each other. Their public display of affection at the 2025 Invictus Games opening ceremony was no exception. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the highly anticipated event, held to honor wounded, injured, and sick service personnel. Still, it wasn’t just their passionate commitment to the cause that had everyone talking – it was their undeniable chemistry.

The 2025 Invictus Games were held in Canada, and the opening ceremony kicked off in Vancouver on Feb. 8. Harry and Meghan supported the athletes and cheered them on. Meghan, radiant in a chic yet understated ivory trenchcoat from the brand Sentaler, beamed at Harry and waved around blue pom poms. Harry, dressed in a sophisticated dark suit, looked equally enamored by his wife.

But the moment that stole the show came when the couple was captured sharing a tender kiss on the jumbotron. As the ceremony was in full swing, Meghan and Harry packed on the PDA and shared a romantic kiss. This intimate yet effortless gesture spoke volumes. The crowd cheered, clearly charmed by the duo’s loving energy. Amid the positivity that the game represents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s sweet moments added a touch of romance to the event.

Prince Harry also had the honor of being introduced by his adoring wife, Meghan, at the kickoff event of the Invictus Games. The Duchess of Sussex then welcomed him to the stage with a passionate kiss. 

“I was not planning on speaking tonight, and we just arrived, I don’t know, a couple of hours ago, and I touched Canadian soil and I went, oh, it feels like home,” Meghan said, introducing Prince Harry.

“We are just thrilled to be here, and I would be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to introduce someone who means a lot to me. And I know he means quite a lot to all of you. You will see him throughout this week.”

The Duchess expressed the importance of the Invictus Games to her husband, who has dedicated years to the mission. She also shared that he viewed the game’s participants as his family, saying:

“I need you to know how much it means to him and how much each of you means to him.”

For Harry, the Invictus Games hold immense personal significance. Founded in 2014, the international sporting event was his brainchild, inspired by his time in the military and his profound admiration for wounded servicemen and women. As a passionate advocate for veterans, Harry’s dedication to the Games is unwavering, and having Meghan by his side showed how much the cause meant to her, too.

The event also holds personal importance to Harry and Meghan. After months of swirling rumors, the couple made their first public appearance together and were first photographed holding hands at the Invictus Games in 2017.   

Meghan has also embraced the Invictus spirit wholeheartedly. Watching her cheer on competitors, it’s clear she is as invested in the event as Prince Harry is, which is heartwarming to see.
