Prince Harry Leaves Self-Isolation Following Five Days In Quarantine

Jun 30, 2021 by apost team

Prince Harry will be able to leave quarantine as of today after he has spent five days under quarantine in Frogmore Cottage, which is found on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Harry, aged 36, arrived in the UK from the US on Friday. The Duke of Sussex may leave his self-isolation if he tests negative for coronavirus following his arrival in the UK on Friday. This is standard procedure for the test and release scheme, which ends the necessary quarantine for travelers as soon as they receive a negative test result.

The prince is staying at the Sussexes' Windsor residence, Frogmore Cottage, for all of his UK stay. The cottage is also where his cousin, Princess Eugenie, currently lives together with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their young baby son August, who was born just a few months back in February.

Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, usually also resides at Windsor Castle. However, the monarch is currently on a several-day visit to Scotland, where she celebrates Royal Week while she stays at her Scottish home, called the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Recent reports claim that the former senior royal flew back to the UK a day early so that he could take part in a charity event later today.

According to the Daily Mail, insiders claimed prince Harry is expected as a surprise guest at a yet unnamed special event directly following his brief stay in quarantine.

The Duke of Sussex originally flew back to Britain to attend the unveiling of a statue meant to honor his late mother Princess Diana, scheduled for tomorrow.

According to the Daily MailPrince Harry will soon hold a 'private meeting' with his brother Prince William once the statue unveiling is over.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that William will visit the statue accompanied by Kate Middleton and their children a bit early in order to have a private moment ahead of the official event.

Prince Harry will reportedly leave quarantine sometime today so that he can visit a charity event later tonight.

An unnamed source told the Sun:

"Organisers have moved Heaven and Earth to make this happen. It's been carefully choreographed. It's an incredibly important day for him and the organisers want to make it as successful as possible."

Tomorrow, Harry is expected to join his brother for the official ceremony that will mark what would have been their mother's 60th birthday, had she lived.

The brothers' relationship has experienced tension caused by a rift that began back in March 2019 after William reportedly had Harry and Meghan removed from Kensington Palace over the alleged bullying of staff, a royal historian claimed according to the Daily Mail.

Many royal experts expect the brothers to hold a private meeting following the tribute, The Daily Telegraph reported. This will be the brothers' first reunion after April when Harry flew back to the UK for the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, held at St George's Chapel in Windsor. His wife Meghan has remained at their California home in Montecito with their two-year-old son Archie and their daughter, Lilibet Diana, and will not be attending the event.

Thursday's statue ceremony will be held in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace. This is where Diana lived while married to Prince Charles. It is now home to William and his family. The unveiling is set to be a small event. Among the few attendees are brothers William and Harry, Diana's surviving close family, and the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, who created the statue. Reportedly, the brothers have spent 'weeks' arguing about and working out where to place the statue on the palace grounds. No details or glimpses of the statue have been revealed so far, but it is generally understood to showcase Diana's youthful and playful character.

This will be Harry's newest stint in the public eye after he had a surprise appearance during the 2021 Diana Awards on Monday, where he congratulated this year's inspiring recipients.

With a pre-recorded video message, the prince had this to say:

"Later this week, my brother and I are recognising what would have been our mum's 60th birthday, and she would be so proud of you all for living authentic life with purpose and with compassion for others. Our mum believed that young people have the power to change the world. She believed in your strength because she saw it day in and day out, and in the faces of young people exactly like you, she witnessed a boundless enthusiasm and passion. And I too see those same values shine through as it has done for 21 years now, The Diana Award carries her legacy forward by putting young people at the centre of our future. And this has never been more important."
