Prince Harry Crowned 'Sexiest Royal' In Popular Magazine Poll

Prince Harry has added another title to his repertoire: The World's Sexiest Royal of 2020. In a poll, which was carried out by PEOPLE magazine ranking the world's royals in order of desirability, Prince Harry beat his own brother, Prince William, and other good-looking royals such as Prince Carl Phillip of Sweden and gym aficionado Abdul Mateen of Brunei. The results were released by the magazine online on November 18. Runners up for the title include Prince Mateen of Brunei, Prince Carl Phillip of Sweden, Prince Felix of Luxembourg, and Prince William.

It has only been a year since Prince Harry won the title of "World’s Sexiest Dad"—also given to him by PEOPLE magazine. For this title, he beat off a number of celebrities, including swimmer Ryan Lochte, and actors Steven Yeun and Ryan Reynolds.  That's quite a lineup to beat! But who is Prince Harry? And how did he become the world's sexiest dad — not to mention the world's sexiest royal?

Prince Harry, 36, younger brother to Prince William, 38, was born in September 1984 in London, England. He had a colorful youth, gaining himself the reputation of being a bit of a wild child, which actually ended up getting him a huge fanbase as people were enamored by the relatable and normal aspects of the youngster. Over the years he matured into a diligent royal. He married actress Meghan Markle, 39, in a ceremony at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The power couple captured the heart of the nation, though they've recently moved on to live in the U.S. outside of the royal spotlight.

Other contenders Prince Harry beat are Prince Carl Philip and Abdul Mateen of Brunei. Prince Carl Philip is fourth in line to the Swedish throne and married to former glamour model Sofia Hellqvist. Their wedding took place in the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace of Stockholm in June 2015. Together they have two children, Prince Alexander, born in April 2016, and Prince Gabriel, born in August 2017. Prince Carl Philip is the second oldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Abdul's father Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei, is one of the world's richest men, worth an estimated $20 billion. Abdul Mateen, 29, studied in London and is a qualified helicopter pilot. According to the Vietnam Times, he is now looking for a wife. We are sure this poll will help his quest in finding love!

Another runner-up worth noting is Prince Felix of Luxembourg, 36, who impressively speaks seven languages and is married to German scientist Claire Lademacher. He is second in line for the throne of Luxembourg reports the Mirror.

Actor Michael B. Jordan nabbed the honor of "World's Sexiest Man Alive" this year. he took the crown from 41-year-old EGOT John Legend, who won the "Sexiest Man Alive" title last year. Legend was humbled by the reaction of fans. And according to Metro, he told PEOPLE: "Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!"

Since giving up their official royal duties earlier this year, Harry and Meghan moved permanently to Montecito in California with 18-month-old son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. In a statement announced on their Instagram page they said:

"We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages."

According to ITV News, the couple has recently handed over the keys to Frogmore cottage to Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank.
