According to the BBC, the two first met after a mutual friend in London set them up on a blind date. After just two dates, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went on vacation together in Botswana.

In an interview in November of 2017, Harry said:

"Beautiful [Meghan] just tripped and fell into my life."

The 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada, was the first event at which the couple was photographed together while holding hands. Despite criticism from the press and media about their relationship, Prince Harry proposed to Meghan in November of 2017, and less than a year later the pair were married.

Nearly a year after their wedding, on May 6th, 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed the third member of their family into the world: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Queen's great-grandchild was born seventh in line to the throne.

Now the family has moved from the UK to Canada to California, since the couple decided to make a royal exit and pursue a life without royal duties.
