Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Getting Archie Prepared For His First Trip To The States

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed they will be spending the holidays with Meghan Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, in California. They will be bringing their 6-month-old little boy, Archie, to the States so he can spend time with his grandmother. 

Their holiday to the U.S. means leaving behind Queen Elizabeth and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Christmas. 

Prince William and Kate Middleton will be taking their three children to spend the holidays at Sandringham along with royal family members according to The Mirror. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson told the press:

 “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month. having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland."

The news also comes as confirmed rifts between Prince Harry and Prince William were brought to light. In Meghan and Harry's new documentary, entitled “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” Harry opens up about the rumors that he and William have had a falling out. 

Harry addressed the rumors saying: "Part of this role, part of this job and this family being under the pressure it is under, inevitably stuff happens. But look, we are brothers, we will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and, as I know, he will always be there for me."

The royal added: "We don’t see as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly and the majority of stuff is created out of nothing. As brothers, you have good days, you have bad days."

Meghan and Harry were expected to return to the UK to spend the rest of the holidays with the Queen as tradition calls for according to The Mirror, however, the couple's trip will be a six-week break away from any royal duties.

A spokesperson for the couple continued to say, “This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen. For security reasons, we will not be providing further details on their schedule at this time.”
