The Kensington Palace marked Prince George’s sixth birthday with some intimate photos taken by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Prince, who is third in line to the throne, turns six today.

The first two images depict the little Prince wearing a white England football shirt, playfully smirking in their home garden in Kensington Palace. The third image shows him in an emerald green shirt, reportedly on a family vacation.

The Prince, full name is George Alexander Louis, was born on July 22nd, 2013 in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, London. He is the firstborn of Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and great-grandson to the current reigning Queen Elizabeth II.

One day following his birth, Prince George made his first public appearance in the arms of his mother on the steps of the Lindo Wing.

Earlier this month, former tennis player Anne Keothavong revealed on Wimbledon Morning Coffee that the little Prince got a personal tennis lesson from world-renowned tennis player Roger Federer. According to the Independent, Keothavong was reportedly told this by the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

Federer later confirmed this on the same show, saying the Prince is a “cute boy.” He also revealed the lesson took place at Kate Middleton’s parents’ home in Bucklebury.

We hope Prince George has a lovely birthday today! What do you think of these new photos? Let us know in the comments, and make sure you pass this along to your friends and family!
