Prince George Looks Adorable In New Birthday Pics

Prince George, Kate Middleton and Prince William's eldest child, turned seven today. It seems like only yesterday the young royal couple were holding him as a newborn outside St. Mary's Hospital in London in 2013. To mark the special occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge shared two new photos of Prince George with the world.

There was a great deal of excitement when Prince George was born on July 22, 2013. Not only because he was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but because he could one day become king. George is third in the line of succession to the British throne, behind his father and his grandfather, Prince Charles.

Hundreds of reporters camped outside the hospital to cover his arrival. According to a source from the Daily Mail, the royal kindergartener already knows there’s something special about him and that he’ll be king of England one day.

The official Instagram account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a photo of Prince George clad in a camo print t-shirt, with the caption:

Thank you everyone for your very kind wishes on Prince George’s birthday today! 🎂 🎈

The Duchess is a keen amateur photographer and has always taken photos of William, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis for their birthdays. The majority of the images captured recently have been shot at the family’s Anmer Hall estate, where they have been self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic, reports the Daily Mail.

On Tuesday, @kensingtonroyal shared a photo of George, taken by The Duchess herself, to commemorate his special day that was approaching. It read: "Sharing a 📸 taken by The Duchess ahead of Prince George’s seventh birthday tomorrow!" The post has almost 1.1 million likes and that will no doubt grow as word of his birthday spreads!
