Prince George And Princess Charlotte Help Prince William Do Countdown In Sweet Father's Day Video

Jun 22, 2021 by apost team

Prince William has had a busy few days, since Sunday, June 20 marked Father's Day in the United Kingdom, while on Monday, June 21, the future king celebrated his 39th birthday.

It is believed that Kate Middleton pulled out all the stops to help her husband celebrate his birthday this year. However, since coronavirus restrictions continue to be in place in the U.K, William was expected to celebrate his birthday with only his immediate family, meaning that he might not have been able to meet with his father or grandmother in person.

Regardless, that certainly didn't stop other members of the royal family from sending in their wishes on social media. This includes William's father Prince Charles, who shared a touching black-and-white throwback photo of himself and his son when he was an infant, as well as the queen, who shared a collage of photos of her grandson, who will be king one day. In response to all of the good wishes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a thank you to their social media channel.

Meanwhile, on Father's Day, William kicked off a half marathon that took place on the queen's Sandringham Estate in Sandringham, Norfolk. He not only addressed the runners before the race began but he also did the countdown — with the help of his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. In a video from the event that was posted to Instagram by user @the_mr_mike, William and his kids count the runners down and it's incredibly adorable, even more so as it occurred on Father's Day.

The day before Prince William's 39th birthday was Father's Day in the U.K., and William spent the day with his two eldest kids as they all kicked off a half marathon event that took place on the queen's Sandringham Estate in Sandringham, Norfolk. Addressing runners before the half marathon took place, William even got Prince George and Princess Charlotte involved when he held the microphone down to them as they counted down the start of the race altogether.

Once the half marathon was underway, the three of them could be seen waving when runners passed by them at the beginning of the race. William looked relaxed and was smiling as he wore a pale blue shirt and navy chinos on the day. Meanwhile, George and Charlotte looked adorable in their coordinated casual looks. Both children wore navy shorts, with George wearing a blue shirt similar to his dad's, while Charlotte kept warm in a baby pink sweater.

One runner from the day was lucky enough to capture the moment in a video, which he shared to his Instagram channel, @the_mr_mike. Fans commented on his post about how tall the children had gotten and how well behaved they were. Imagine going to run a half-marathon and then realizing it was being counted down by the Duke of Cambridge and two of his children!

There was no sign of Kate Middleton or Prince Louis on the day, as it looks like they stayed at home, which actually isn't too far away. The Cambridges have a country home named Anmer Hall, which is located on the queen's Sandringham Estate. It's where they spend school holidays and weekends when they're not residing at their main home in London, Kensington Palace.

The Cambridges also celebrated Father's Day on their social media account, as they posted a video collage honoring the fathers and grandfathers in their lives. One image from 1990 showed Princes William and Harry with their father, who's wearing a kilt, as they lounge on the grass, while another image shows Middleton and her father on her wedding day.

Another photo honored Prince Philip, who passed away on April 9 at the age of 99, in which the queen and her late husband are pictured surrounded by many of their great-grandchildren. The final photo showed William in military uniform surrounded by his own three children.

On William's 39th birthday, Queen Elizabeth II wished her grandson a happy birthday with a post on Twitter that featured a series of images of the future king. In one photo, he is seen with his wife and three children at 2019's Trooping the Colour event, while in another the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured laughing together while on their recent royal tour of Scotland.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles wished his son a happy birthday by posting a black-and-white throwback photo from 1982 that showed William as a baby, as he's pictured on Charles' lap. The rare photo of William as an infant is all kinds of adorable!

With so many well wishes, William thanked everyone — from his royal family to fans all over the world — for their birthday messages. There's certainly been a lot of love for him in the last few days with his birthday and Father's Day coinciding back to back, and we can only imagine how happy the future king feels right now.
