Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s school Thomas's Battersea prohibits their students from having “best friends” to ensure that no child feels excluded.
Thomas's Battersea has some strict rules when it comes to forming friendships at school. All students, including members of the royal family such as Prince George And Princess Charlotte, aren’t allowed to call other students their “best friends.”
More precisely, students of Thomas's Battersea aren’t permitted to only invite certain children to celebrations outside of school, instead, they have to invite the whole class.

As reported by The Mirror, journalist Jane Moore provided a reasoned justification for the school’s rules concerning friendships. As she explained, “there are signs everywhere saying be kind, that’s the ethos of the school. They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”
Moore went on to give more insights on the school, saying “there's a policy that if your child is having a party, unless every child in the class is invited, you don’t give out the invites in class, which I think is quite a good thing as you don’t feel excluded.”
