The second child and only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte, is slowly growing up into a delightful young girl. With each year that passes, Charlotte's personality comes out more.

In fact, she's proving to be the cheekiest member of the royal family. Besides her fiery personality, Charlotte also bears a striking resemblance to various family members of hers. This includes her father, Prince William, her grandmother, Princess Diana, and also her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The resemblance between her and Elizabeth has been long drawn by fans since the little royal was a baby.

Born on May 2, 2015, at St Mary's Hospital in London, Charlotte has already made an impact in England as one of the children in the Wales family. She was born second in her family, following her older brother. Several landmarks were illuminated pink to honor her arrival following her birth, including the London Eye and Tower Bridge. There were also salutes at Hyde Park and the Tower of London. Just a few days later, it was announced that Charlotte's full name was Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, which honored both Diana and the previous reigning monarch and her great-grandmother, the queen.

As she gets older, fans continue to point out the similarities she shares with family members, not only to her grandmother and great-grandmother but also to her father! In fact, a photo of the two of them shows how the young royal’s outfit was apparently a very close iteration of an outfit her father donned when he was younger — proving how the two are very much alike. Charlotte is the middle child of the Wales family, as she has an older brother, Prince George, and a younger brother, Prince Louis. She is also Prince William and Kate Middleton's only daughter and is currently the third in the line of succession to the throne, following her father, and her older brother.

Now 7 years old, Charlotte’s looks are a mixture of her mother, Kate, and her father, William. She inherited her beautiful brunette hair from her mother, but her face is clearly a spitting image of her father when William was the same age. According to People Magazine, the Prince of Wales had a double look at a photo of himself when he was younger, confused if it was him or his only daughter.

“Is that me?” William asked, pointing to a photo of himself when he was young. “Because that looks just like Charlotte. That is incredible.”

“It looks so much like Charlotte,” Kate agreed at the time.

On another occasion in 2021, when Charlotte’s 6th Birthday portrait was posted on social media, it sparked a debate on who she looked like more, her father or her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth

“This little girl looks exactly like her great-grandmother. She will be a classic Royal beauty,” a user shared on Instagram.

“Cutie !! Darling photo of you! You look a lot like your father!! Much more BEAUTIFUL than him!!! Your Mother is so ADORABLE TOO!!!” another royal fan commented.

“Adorable! She looks so much like the Queen!” someone pointed out.

Fans who think that William bears more resemblance to his daughter had further proof that she is just like her dad in a photo taken during the Easter of 2022.

Fans who have supported and adored the royal family for the longest time have been some of the most dedicated people out there. That is why, after some digging, they found out that what Princess Charlotte wore during the Easter Sunday service on April 14, 2022, actually has an adorable history with her father, Prince William.

Kate wore an Emilia Wickstead-designed blue fitted coat dress and shared the same color as her daughter, Charlotte, whose smocked dress was designed by one of the royal family’s most loved designers, Rachel Riley

“With its classic hand-smocking design and smart Peter-pan collar, the dress has been in our collections for over 10 years, and with the sweet forget-me-not print symbolizing remembrance and love, it is the perfect Easter outfit for any little girl to feel Spring-ready!” Riley told Hello! Magazine at the time.

In the photos taken at the time, Prince William was seen holding hands with his daughter as he accompanied his family, including Kate, and eldest son Prince George to the annual Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Hello! Magazine also pointed out that the workshop where Charlotte’s dress was made was, in fact, where her father's smocked outfits were also made when he was younger. A photo of him, wearing a similar smocked outfit was taken in 1983 in New Zealand with the late Princess Diana and his father, King Charles

Asked what she thought about Charlotte making waves with her outfit, Riley responded gleefully: "It was such a pleasure to see Princess Charlotte looking so pretty in our Forget-Me-Not smocked dress as she attended the Easter Sunday Church service."
