When you go to a wedding, you expect the focus to be on the bride and groom as they exchange their vows. This wedding was a bit different as the parents had a special role as well.

Drew and Gina had a vintage wedding in 2010. They were excited to share the day with their friends and their parents in Scottsdale, Arizona, waiting for the moment when they could finally exchange their vows and join together as husband and wife.

Father Jim Husek was officiating the wedding that day. He talked about love and how finding a love that would last for a lifetime can be hard to find but there are couples who have shared their lives together for years.

Both Drew's and Gina's parents had been together for over 30 years. Father Jim continued talking about the role that parents play in raising children who love themselves and love other people. Drew and Gina had exceptional role models in their parents and knew that their parents had shown each of them how to display love in a way that's rewarding.

It was finally time for Drew and Gina to exchange their vows, but Father Jim did something surprising. He wanted the couple to step aside and asked their parents to stand up instead. The parents didn't know what was going on, and they didn't know that Drew and Gina were a part of the surprise as well.

The moment that Father Jim talked to the parents was a memorable part of the day for Gina as she tried to hold back tears.

Watch to see how the parents were treated and what Father Jim told them about how they raised their children.
