If you are an animal lover, this story will truly touch your heart and make you smile with joy at this pig’s sweet story. The absolutely precious story is unbelievable. There’s nothing more exciting for an animal lover to experience than a pregnant mama giving birth to a litter of adorable newborns and seeing her love them for the first moments of their lives.

The team at a California farm called Apricot Lane Farms took in and adopted a sick pig. They named the pig Emma and, unfortunately, things weren’t looking so great for Emma. She was pregnant, but she was also very malnourished and she was terribly underweight, especially for being pregnant.

The Apricot Lane Farms team was told that Emma was carrying six piglets, and she would likely go into labor with her piglets any day now. John Chester, Apricot Lane Farms’ owner, was about to get a big surprise he hadn’t bargained for. He was about to learn that X-rays aren’t always 100% accurate, or even close to being accurate.

That evening John and his wife Molly, walked out to the pen where they were keeping the precious pregnant pup and found her in the middle of giving birth. They watched with awe as Emma gave birth to not six piglets, but 17 tiny little squeaking piglets. Although only 13 of those 17 piglets survived, it was still a miracle that Emma had survived long enough to give birth, let alone to give birth to a whopping 17 baby piglets.

Emma was now feeding 13 baby piglets, while still being underweight herself. She was absolutely adopted and eventually she was unable to keep producing milk to feed her babies. John and Molly knew that she was on the brink of death and they had to do something.

They separated the piglets from Emma and they began to give her constant care, doing everything they could to save her life. Yet, nothing seemed to work and she eventually stopped eating.

As the couple prepared to lose Emma, John had one last-ditch idea: he was going to reunite the mama pig with her 13 babies. A miracle happened soon after. Emma began to get better in the company of her piglets.

Isn’t this an incredible story of how powerful the bond between mother and child (or children) can be? It can bring you back from illness and even the brink of death. Emma now lives among her babies and enjoys a happy life. What do you think about the power of the mama/baby bond? Pass this beautiful story along to anyone, especially a mama, could use to hear a story with a very happy ending.
