The one-year-old Ulla, a stray cat in Nuuk, Greenland, was rescued from the streets and taken to a shelter. The name of the shelter, Dyrenes Venner, translates to 'friends of animals,' in English.

A board member for the shelter, Tone Frank, says that he and other staff members noticed the weight gain in Ulla about a month after she arrived at the shelter. At first, staff members blamed Ulla's growing midsection on the feline overeating now that food is always available to her. However, it didn't take long to figure out that the cat was eating for more than one.

Tone made an appointment for Ulla to visit the veterinarian. It was obvious from the beginning of the visit that Ulla was not too happy to see the doctor. The cat finally complied with doctor's orders and lie still for the examination. Ulla even watched the ultrasound while her belly was being scanned.

Ulla soon became conscious that there were babies moving in her stomach. The look on the cat's face was priceless. It was also a great reminder that animals have feelings and thoughts similar to our own.

The vet estimated that four or five kittens were inside Ulla's stomach. He could not be sure because of the multiple shadows moving inside the stomach. Ulla's hilarious reaction has been a smash hit on social media platforms. In another stroke of faith, Ulla has been adopted to a new home.

Ulla's new family says they will care for her kittens until they are able to find each one of them a family of their own.
