The country music genre was extremely well-represented with some of its brightest shining stars taking center stage to celebrate The King. Big names like Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, Little Big Down, Darius Rucker, Pistol Annies, and Mac Davis all took their turn performing some of The King’s greatest hits.

Blake Shelton hosted the official tribute, airing on NBC. Although Elvis was known for his influence on rock ‘n roll, his music runs deep with influences that stem from his Southern roots, making him particularly special to many country music legends.

The night didn’t just belong to country music artists. Singers from all genres showed up and showed out to honor Elvis. Adam Lambert, John Legend, Josh Groban, Jennifer Lopez, Post Malone and John Fogerty were a few of the music superstars who performed in the Elvis tribute special.

The special tribute featured a video of Elvis singing the first verse of his 1968 smash hit “If I Can Dream.” The video of Elvis singing solo in a dark room with only his name lit in ‘60s-style red letters behind him cuts to Carrie Underwood belting the second verse on a stage styled identically to the original.

The incredible video ends with Elvis signing off in the video with his simple signature, “thank you, good night.”
