Precious Video Shows Baby Monkey Caring For Ducklings Like They’re His Family

Animals are some of the kindest creatures on this planet. With so many amazing qualities, like compassion and kind-heartedness, it’s easy to see why people can’t help but be mesmerized by these adorable beings. A video of a baby monkey caring for a raft of ducks like they were his own family has been capturing the hearts of people all across the globe since its upload on June 4, 2021. The video was taken in Indonesia and featured one popular and absolutely precious monkey by the name of BiBi. 

BiBi, the monkey in the video, is incredibly small and moved very delicately, almost like he was fragile. He was only slightly bigger than his new feathery friends. The tiny monkey’s actions were just as endearing and gentle as he showed an immense amount of affection for the little ducklings. Lucky for BiBi, the ducks were just as sweet with their own responses to his overwhelming compassion toward them. Even though they weren’t the same, the monkey and ducks acted as if they were their own unique family.

While the ducks roamed around in the great outdoors, the monkey stayed close to them and was also there to make sure they were safe. From grooming them to playing with them, the monkey easily managed to make some friends as he showed a great amount of affection and care for the other species. Even though monkeys typically show these types of behaviors with other monkeys, the baby monkey in this now-viral video managed to showcase his amazing range of emotions and acts of kindness to another type of animal.

PBS reported that monkeys feel many emotions similar to humans, like anxiety and stress. They also are able to reflect on past experiences that help them better prepare for future interactions with others. While monkeys are able to process some pretty tough emotions, they are also able to experience the good ones. By engaging in a wide range of complex emotions and relationships, monkeys are able to showcase just how kind and compassionate they really are.

According to PBS, monkeys are extremely complex when it comes to social interactions and the way they form relationships with each other. They have a good memory and hold on to previous experiences with other animals. One way monkeys have shown their affection, and loyal friendship to another monkey is by grooming the other monkey. In this video uploaded by Animals Home, the baby monkey BiBi showed his affection and respect toward a group of ducks rather than a pack of other monkeys.

The baby monkey worked hard at petting and grooming his new friends, even though they didn’t look like him. No matter where the ducks wandered off to, the monkey was sure to be right there with them and look out for them. The ducks seemed to trust their newfound friend and showed their comfort with him by giving BiBi a few sweet nibbles. This baby monkey’s caring nature was overwhelming as he kept a close eye on his new set of friends. He even held one of the ducks adoringly like he was giving the cute yellow animal a tight hug.
