A driver in Knoxville pulled into a gas station and realized that he was unable to put gas in his car. Travis Van Norstran was sitting nearby when he saw a police officer approach the man at the gas tank. Zack Herman was on duty that day patrolling the area and wanted to help the man who didn't have enough money to get gas.

The officer used his personal debit card to get gas for the young man, an act that was greatly appreciated by the driver. In a world where there is so much anger toward police officers, this man did something that turned those thoughts around for at least a short time.

Another office in Diboll, Texas performed a similar act when he saw a truck driver at a gas station having trouble paying for the gas that he needed. The card wasn't working, so the officer paid the $200 bill.

In Franklin, Ohio, a woman used the last $20 that she had to get gas, but someone else used the funds because the clerk at the station didn't set the right tank. An officer then gave the woman money to put gas in her car.

Watch the scenes unfold of officers helping others in their times of need, making a difference for someone who needs a hand.
