Gina Anzaldua Stevenson was passing through Dallas Love Field Airport when she saw a police officer taking selfies with his K-9 partner. Posting photos of the officer to a Facebook group, Gina said that the officer had an adorable relationship with his partner.

When you ask someone who their best friend is, many will honestly reply that their best friend is their dog. It is hard to argue with the logic of having a dog as a best friend. Dogs are loyal, playful animals that come in all shapes and sizes. No matter how dreary your day has been, you can always turn to your dog for a fun game of catch or just to crash on the couch and watch your favorite TV show.

While all dogs are loving, many are also working animals. Human beings have been using dogs as service animals for thousands of years. Dogs have been known to assist human beings in a variety of tasks, including farming, emotional support, and police work.

By and large, police dogs, or K-9 units as they are sometimes called, are the most recognizable type of working dogs. In a story out of Texas, a police officer’s interactions with his K-9 partner prove once and for all that, deep down, police dogs are just as fun and playful as any other pooch.

When Gina posted the photos to the Dogspotting Society Facebook page with the caption "I just watched the cop at the airport take a series of selfies with his dog and then stop to show him each one. 😂❤️ I stand corrected, that sweet boi was his partner not just a dog 😊," many commenters in the online community agreed.

The amazing response to Gina’s post soon led the officer in the picture, Andre Cloyd, to share the selfies he took with his K-9 partner, whose name is Zigi. The response to Office Cloyd’s post has been nothing short of astounding. Comment after comment note how handsome Zigi is while expressing frustration at being unable to pet a police dog. Other commentators thank Officer Cloyd and Zigi for all they do to keep Dallas safe.
