Police Man And Servers Dance With An Elderly Man Dining Alone At Steak House

The people in the community of Caldwell, Idaho are known for their compassion and thoughtfulness. A recent occurrence at the Indian Creek Steakhouse showcased this character.

The steakhouse was founded in 2011 by Jennifer and Dillon Wickel. Visitors to the establishment enjoy steaks cooked over a live applewood open flame. After eating their delicious dinner, they will enjoy the live music and dancing at this community gathering spot.

Employee Sesiley Cerchione was so touched by a recent encounter at the restaurant that she took to Facebook to share the moment. Cerchione recounted the story of an older gentleman who was dining alone. Everything seemed normal until the employees noticed that tears were streaming down his face.

"He seemed confused and didn’t have a place to go," Cerchione said in a Facebook post. "I’m not sure if he had any medical issues or anything, but I do know that he was feeling extremely lonely and broken-hearted and he didn’t know where his home was or didn’t have any place to go home to."

At first, the servers left the man alone. But after hours had passed, the employees grew concerned and called the non-emergency line of the local police department. After arriving at the restaurant, the officers said that they knew this man. The officers greeted the man by name and sat down with him to talk.

Sgt. Chelle Sperry took it a step farther and even danced with the man. After this first dance, the employees of the restaurant took turns dancing with the man. His mood suddenly improved, thanks to the compassion of all of the people who cared.

This adorable moment was even captured on video. The video was then shared on the Caldwell Police Department Facebook page. Sgt. Sperry praised the employees at the steakhouse for taking the time to call the officers and ensure the happiness of the man.
