Some special babies celebrated World Kindness Day in a unique way.

In addition to November 13 being World Kindness Day, it was also Cardigan Day. What better way to commemorate the two days than with a tribute to the legendary Fred Rogers.

UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital wanted to honor Fred by dressing all of the new babies at the hospital in crocheted red cardigans. The cardigans looked just like something Fred would wear on his beloved PBS show. Some of the babies even wore matching crocheted shoes to complete the outfit.

Caitlin Pechin is a nurse at the hospital as well as the kind soul who crocheted all of the outfits. She clearly did an amazing job getting all of the pieces ready for the big day.

As the widow of Fred Rogers, Joanne Byrd Rogers visited the UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania to honor her late husband's memory. As part of the visit, Joanne was able to see the precious babies all dressed up as Mister Rogers. It is obvious that this visit meant a lot to her.

Joanne and Fred were college sweethearts. After getting married in 1952, they made their union last the long haul, staying married for 50 years until Fred passed way in 2003. The pair had two sons together named James and John.

There is no better way to celebrate World Kindness Days than by watching this video of Joanne's reaction to seeing the babies dressed up like Mister Rogers himself.
