Pit Bull Puppy Rescued From A Fire Becomes A Firefighter Hero

Jul 03, 2020 by apost team

In 2015, Jake the pit bull was in rough shape when he was found as a puppy and taken to a local clinic for treatment. When South Carolina resident William Lindler, a firefighter, found out that Jake needed a new home, he volunteered to adopt Jake right away. Soon after finding his new forever home with Bill, Jake became an official firefighter with help from the Mayor of Hanahan, South Carolina.

Unfortunately for Jake, his owners officially abandoned him because they couldn't afford the medical bills for the burns Jake had suffered, according to ABC News. Wounded and now down-and-out, things did not look so good for the little puppy. However, fate intervened on behalf of the puppy when the firefighter who rescued Jake decided to take him in.

This swiftly took a good turn in Jake’s life. He recuperated from his wounds thanks to the support and love of his adopted family. Since his new owner was a firefighter, the dog grew up at a fire station. Jake seems to enjoy the lifestyle at the fire station and even got his favorite spot on top of the fire lorry.

Since Jake was adopted, life has been pretty good for him. He helps the firefighters to keep hydrants under control. And Jake has also become the official mascot of the Hanahan Fire Department. This means that he will become an ambassador to the public. He goes on school trips regularly to teach children concerning fire safety.

After becoming the certified mascot, he swore the K-9 oath. Also, he was named an official member of the department and was also given his badge and vest. However, what is even more amazing is the firefighter uniform that the owner created for him.

The pit bull puppy, Jake, has turned out to be an essential part of the public through his good work with the firefighter’s department; however, this dog’s work is far from over.

What do you think of Jake's story? Isn't he the cutest firefighter ever? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and be sure to pass this along to all the dog lovers in your life.
