Pit Bull Gets Stuck On Train Tracks—So Sheriff Stops Train To Rescue Him

Jul 19, 2019 by apost team

A wandering Pit Bill got trapped on some train tracks in California, so a good-hearted sheriff halted all train traffic in the area to enable rescuers to reach him.

A gray Pit Bull was spotted on some train tracks with some terrible injuries. There was no question he needed help and some good Samaritans called an animal rescue called Hope For Paws to help him out. Not only that, but they also stayed and helped during the rescue, and had called the sheriff earlier to halt train traffic in the area.

Once Hope for Paws arrived on the scene, they were ready to go without the worry of any train traffic in the vicinity. With their humane rescuing techniques including a gentle snare and a soft net, they were able to wrangle the sweet Pittie into a crate and rush him to the vet.

He had a huge gash on his shoulder that needed attention, and when they arrived at the doc they saw he also had a broken jaw. The staff speculated that he might have gotten in the way of a train, and although he was initially skittish around humans, he knew that they were trying to help him. The pup started to relax and let the rescuers do their jobs.

After a few surgeries and some time for recovery, the Pit Bull now appropriately named “Hulk” already gained his personality back. He would bound and play a little more each day and loved to snuggle with one of his rescuers, Loreta.

Hulk was transferred over to a foster home with the help of Paw Prints In The Sand and is recovering well. Thanks to these kind rescuers, one more Pit Bull is rescued and safe.

What a relief that Hulk is okay! What do you think about this sweet story? Tell the animal lover in your life about Hulk and his rescue.
