Pierce Brosnan Posts Loving Birthday Kiss With His Wife Keely: 'My Darling Heart'

Following Pierce Brosnan’s 67th birthday earlier this month, the James Bond star celebrated by posting a photo of a passionate birthday kiss with his wife Keely Shaye Smith on Instagram this Wednesday. Brosnan also used the post to pay tribute to Smith, who he has been married to for 26 years.

Alongside the romantic, beach-side photo, which features the couple holding champagne glasses in hand, Brosnan wrote:

“Thank you for the moon and sun and all the days of our lives together my darling heart Keely. I had a great 67th birthday. Thanks to one and all of you out there who wished me so. God bless, stay strong.”

The post comes nearly a week after the Irish-American actor’s birthday on May 16th. Smith also took to social media to celebrate a few days earlier, posting photos from the same beach-side occasion.

“Happy Happy Birthday to my tender hearted renaissance man,” Smith wrote. “Wishing you love, joy, and many many more trips around the sun.”

Both Brosnan and Smith, who is a broadcast journalist, regularly update their fans regarding birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other family events.

Days before Brosnan posted the photo of his birthday kiss, he congratulated his 23-year-old son, Dylan Thomas Brosnan, on his graduation from the University of Southern California’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts.

“Congratulations Dylan on your graduation and academic achievements at USC School of Cinematic Arts,” Brosnan wrote. “Go forth into this new world and make it your own. Be fearless, courageous and generous. Love, Dad.”

According to the Daily Mail, Brosnan met Smith, his second wife, in 1994 on a beach in Mexico, marrying her seven years later in 2001 at Ballintubber Abbey in his native Ireland. Since then, the 67-year-old Bond actor has been open about Smith’s supportive role in his life, especially after the actor’s daughter, Charlotte, passed away in 2013 at the age of 42 after a battle with ovarian cancer.

The couple has had two children together, 23-year-old Dylan and 19-year-old Paris. Brosnan is also a grandfather of his late daughter Charlotte's children Isabella, 21, and Lucas, 14, as well as Sean's four-year-old daughter Marley May.

Since the age of 15, when Brosnan left home to become an actor, the Irish film star has made a name for himself in Hollywood, particularly for his roles in James Bond, Mamma Mia! and The Matador, according to  Encyclopedia Britannica. Since his most famous role as 007, the 67-year-old hasn’t shown any evidence of slowing down.

According to Brosnan’s IMDB page, he’s currently working on multiple projects that have yet to be released, including a comedy about the Eurovision singing contest starring Will Ferrell, which is slated to come out this year on Netflix, and Kay Cannon’s modern musical version of Cinderella (2021).
