Pierce Brosnan And His Wife Keely Celebrate 19th Wedding Anniversary With Moving Tributes

Actor Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Brosnan celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary this week on August 4, with the two lovebirds sharing tributes to one another on social media. Still showing just as much love for each other as when they met, the pair have a sweet backstory about their romance.

Keely, 56, posted to Instagram first, sharing a gorgeous photo from their wedding day on August 4, 2001, which took place in County Mayo, Ireland. The couple looks gorgeous, with Keely wearing a long-sleeved lace gown while Pierce looks handsome in a suit. Accompanying the photo she wrote a sweet message that said:

"August 4th, 2001. 'You are the finest, loveliest, and tenderest person I have ever known.' FSF 🥂 Happy Anniversary @piercebrosnanofficial ✨ Time flys [sic] on love’s wings."

Pierce, 67, posted a similarly touching tribute to his wife. The photo he shared was another one, however, the couple appears to be donning matrimonial outfits—perhaps they had a second wedding or renewed their vows later on. In the image, Keely looks stunning in a strapless gown and tiara, while both of them are smiling widely. Pierce wrote:

"Happy anniversary my love Keely...my brown eyed girl, should I fall behind wait for me...as ever, my love."

Pierce and Keely first met in Cabo San Lucas in 1994, while Keely was there on a job assignment with actor Ted Danson, and Pierce was holidaying with friends. After catching each other's attention at a beach party, they connected and had their first date a few days later, where they "sat down under the stars" as Pierce held Keely's hand while Kenny Loggins was singing. They stayed up and talked until three in the morning, and have been together ever since. The rest as they say is history.

Speaking with People magazine in 2001, Keely described Pierce as "captivating. Tall, dark, and handsome—everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to. He had this mischievous sparkle in his eyes. I thought, 'Wow! Wow!'"

The happy couple is also parents to two boys—Dylan, who was born in 1997, and Paris, who was born in 2001. Pierce also has three children from his former marriage to late wife Cassandra—Chris, Sean, and Charlotte, who tragically passed away from ovarian cancer just like her mother.

Just recently in May this year, Pierce and Keely enjoyed some beach time in Hawaii together, which they posted to Instagram. They looked to be enjoying themselves in the water, swimming, and snorkeling. Pierce captioned one of his videos, "In the wild blue yonder."
