Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is an extraordinary woman—not only for her incredible 67-year reign as monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth—but for the many barriers she has broken during that time and her continued work ethic, even at 94-years-old.
After celebrating the 67th anniversary of her Coronation this week on June 2nd, we've decided to take a look at a few other momentous occasions throughout her life, in pictures.

As the most traveled monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth has visited 116 countries, which is incredibly impressive. And while many of those countries are smaller and lesser-known, back in May of 2007, the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, visited the United States on a six-day trip. During their time in the USA, they visited the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The Queen and Prince Philip were shown around the facility by NASA Administrator Michael Griffin, and met with many different people, including astronauts and students. Together with NASA Administrator Michael Griffin, the Queen helped to plant a dogwood tree on the grounds of the visitor's center, during her trip.

A few years later, the Queen met with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama when they arrived in the United Kingdom on a state visit back in 2011. On May 25, a dinner was held in the Queen's honor at Winfield House in London, which is the US ambassador's residence.
On the occasion, the Obamas greeted Queen Elizabeth and Prince Andrew as they arrived at Winfield House. During the dinner, President Obama offered a toast to the Queen. Also present at the dinner was actor Tom Hanks.

Before she was the Queen, Her Majesty was Princess Elizabeth. Here she's pictured meeting Prime Minister Winston Churchill at Guildhall in March 1950, while she was still a princess. CNN reports that Queen Elizabeth was alleged to be in awe of Winston Churchill, who served as the first prime minister during her reign, up until 1955. When asked which prime minister she enjoyed meeting the most, she supposedly replied, "Winston of course, because it's always such fun," as reported by CNN.
These are just a few moments from Queen Elizabeth's full life, in which she's traveled far and wide and met with many different people from all walks of life. It's more than impressive to consider what she's achieved throughout her life, and the fact that she is still going strong as the ruling monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
