The annual horse racing event has been in operation since 1711. Queen Anne even rode out from Windsor Castle and declared the area of Royal Ascot “ideal for horses to gallop at full stretch,” according to an Instagram post from the Clarence House. The first royal meeting took place there in 1768.

While plenty of people attend Royal Ascot for the horse racing, it’s hard not to redirect your focus to the unbelievable fashion moments that people are able to witness. According to Hello Magazine, Royal Ascot has a strict dress code. No outfits can be above the knee, and strapless dresses are forbidden, but people are required to wear amazing hats or fascinators. The royal family has gone above and beyond with these expectations, as their outfits are always top tier and the best example of how to dress.

Camilla and the Prince of Wales were safe and stylish as they attended Royal Ascot. The Duchess of Cornwall was the epitome of high class and elegance when she was spotted out and about for a royal outing on June 15, 2021. Camilla, alongside her husband Prince Charles, were seen looking marvelous together on the first day of Royal Ascot, the most extravagant annual horse racing event in all of England. The Clarence House Instagram page shared a stunning photo on June 15, 2021, of the Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales at Royal Ascot. On the first day of Royal Ascot, Camilla wore a pastel blue striped dress with a matching face mask and an over-the-top hat to match. The royal beauty was a stunner in her outfit designed by Bruce Oldfield. The cut of the chic design fit her well and matched her exuberant grace and class. She also accessorized with pearl and diamond-encrusted chokers and a white clutch.

Camilla was accompanied by Charles, who himself looked very handsome and dashing in her gray suit and top hat, with a black face mask to complete the look. According to the Clarence House, Camilla and Charles presented jockey Kevin Manning with a trophy after he won the St. James’ Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Princess Anne also looked bold at the event, as she wore a coordinating all-purple ensemble with a floral shawl.
